Re: A question for urban chicken-keepers

... the woods, I now live abroad in quite a rural setting. It sounds like there is always a fox issue wherever you are! We're hoping to buy a WIR from Aviaries4u - I think quite a few other people here have used these. We're just waiting for our Cube to arrive now and have already sourced our chickens ...

Re: Quail advice please!

I have my quail in a four foot high run from aviaries4u. The sides measure 5ft x 3ft. In there I have a male and five females but you do not need a male...we just like them. They don't make a lot of noise. We have three pens of quail each with ...

Re: WIR with Cube Question

Hi We hope to have a WIR too and have begun the process of getting a quotation from Lewis at aviaries4u. It is looking good so far but we are in a definite quandry about whether to put the WIR on the ground or whether to put it on a concrete or slab base. We've never ...

Re: WIR where can i get one?

I know a lot of people on the board have used and recommend the WIRs from http://www.aviaries4u.co.uk/

They deliver to your area and also have an onsite assembly service.

It won't be a "Tony"

Well, I'm just about ready to order the WIR at last. However, when I e-mailed Aviaries4U, I got a quote back from Lewis to say that Tony has handed A4U over to him! So it won't be a "Tony" after all. Lewis apparently used to build the runs for Tony anyway, ...

Re: the screwdriver's charging...

... about to help a friend in the village build her 15' x 9' run. I've added a sketch to the original post to help. For my own run (which was from Aviaries4U, not BAH) I put all the sides up first, then added the roof. My run is only 6' deep, so the roof panels all run front to back in a single ...

Re: WIR suppliers - your experiences

There's a thread about it here that might help - I got mine from Aviaries4U, or a 'Tony' as they are affectionately known! and I cannot recommend him highly enough - it was money well spent.

Re: Ok I know this sounds silly

... a new term, namely a 'Tony'. This is a WIR specifically designed and built by a chap called Tony, who runs a specialist Aviary company called Aviaries4U . There's a picture of my 'Tony' in my signature link 8). Andrew

I've been Tony'ed

Thought you would like to see photos of the run Tony of Aviaries4U built for us last Thursday. He certainly is a speedy gonzales - the run was erected in 1.5 hours - I've never seen a drill move so fast. And because DH used fancy tiles to match the ones ...

Re: Pics of your coops/runs?

Thanks for the comments! Pecky doesn't do things by halves! The original WIR was bought from Aviaries4u, just smaller than 12', x 6'. I extended the run originally by 6' to 18' using the back of the aviary which was against the fence, so unnecessary in hindsight. Just ...
