Just got new chicks!

So excited I have just brought home three 12 week old growers. I've got an Ancona for , a Cream Crested Legbar for and a Light Sussex.









It was difficult to take pics as they were moving about so much.

Hi - may I ask were you got your Ancona from? My hubby desperately wanted one of these. I tried hatching some, but all eggs were infertile.

Thanks! The pictures do not show just how tiny they are. The Ancona is from http://www.storrspoultry.co.uk/ in Sheffield. They had loads and loads of birds there. As I was driving away I nearly turned back to get a white Wyandotte.

I was looking at them tonight and I also thought that the Sussex looked a lot smaller than the other 2. She makes a lovely little tweeting noise. They were all from the same shed so they get on ok though. I think my neighbours must think that I am eccentric!

I nearly got very carried away when I got my girls from them. That drive is deterent enough to stop impromptu purchases!!!

Yes, that drive is a bit of ride! Luckily I did not meet any other vehicles on the way but I did wish that I was in a 4x4. It was well worth it though!
