Lovely photo!

In my experience there's a huge difference in ability between ex-caged and ex-barn hens. Ex-caged girls do tend to weaker and just stand about before they cotton on that they can move around. Ex-barn dancers are much fitter and will jump high.

We rehomed 4 barn dancers last Sunday and only Sassasfras Roots has not tried leaping around like an acrobat!
Rehoming since 2007
Posh girl: (Bluebelle) Pulley 15/05/11
GNR ex-batt: No-tail 03/07/11;
GNR ex-caged: Parkin 12/08/12; Xander & Osman 22/12/12; Eleplant Legs & Drumstick 17/08/13
GNR ex-barn: Sassafras Roots, Whirly, Coffeemaker & Gloria 22/06/14

Not forgetting the over 50 posh girls, bats, caged & barn ladies who we have loved and lost over the years.

Took my ex caged girls ages to move around. They didn't even know that they could stretch their wings. Now though they can run, jump, escape from their run. One even got out of my garden and into next doors front garden. Still don't know how :?
