  1. Hahaha no pretty sure it’s nesting behaviour. Some of mine will fiddle with the wood chips, arranging them for ages and chucking them on their back... and one hen will drag twigs and other stuff into the nesting box.

  4. Pop a freezer block under the broody cage, wrap it in a plastic bag first though

  5. They send you some swabs and you swab the inside of their mouth. Then send it off. Takes about 2 weeks!

  6. I’m sure it’s nothing you’re doing, these things just happen so try not to beat yourself up about it. Its lucky you have experienced chicken keepers to look after her for you while you’re away. Fingers crossed she’ll recover.
