  1. Nice to see someone reported her and the police spoke to her - its only right - maybe some folks in the street have not seen their relatives either for a long long time and also grand children and watching that is like a red rag to a bull. We have had so much coming and going and I am sure the family up the road who have lads are drug dealing by the running up and down the road to the village and back all the time!
  2. Yes very ashamed of how some of our society is behaving - particularly in shops. I had a hospital appointment yesterday some way away and took the opportunity to nip into a Marks and Spencers shop = folks all over the place and what was worse a shop assistant obviously shopping for herself or someone else not observing any social distancing rules and coming right behind us and along side us. What is the point of the marks on the floor if you dont observe it - I had a mask on and so had some but not all customers - its not law till friday this week but may as well start it now. The other shameful members of society are the ones who litter - they go out for the day laden with goodies and tins of beer and juice and then have a lovely day and leave all their rubbish behind them where it lies. To be honest I would not like to see their houses!. There are those who are very responsible and yes looking out for others and helping neighbours and I applaud them - they are doing a great job. What happened to the values our parents and teachers (in the days) taught us - now they dont listen and the teachers cannot chastise them without the parents standing up for their little treasures - rant over too.
  3. Sorry to read this about your sister - what about a firm sending a meal round once a week to save them cooking!
  4. Yes spray them with the dye used Somewhere else and then as takes a while to wash off can charge them all at later date! The Glasgow incident was really bad Too and I am glad they shot him as if he killed two and injured The rest why should the taxpayer pay To keep him in food for the next however many years! The country has gone mad. Is it lockdown mania?
  5. After seeing the DOrset beach fiasco I think I wont be going anywhere anytime soon. People are not conforming and they are just pigs leaving the litter around - it is happening up here too and leave tents and rubbish everywhere. Even the hairdressers I will hang back a bit till things recover a bit,
  6. Supermarket home deliveries every 3 weeks have kept us going. Phone call to butcher for big order just go collect, home vacuum seal and into freezer. Local Co-op for small top ups and fresh berries and this has been no problem. Could start this being my way of shopping now.
  7. You are brilliant at those photos . My phone and iPad don't do wildlife justice really.
  8. Thats a wonderful photo. We have them all the time just now at the peanut feeders in the garden but not seen such a young one as that. They are beautiful birds. There is a robin nesting in an old tree stump in the garden about 4 inches from the ground and she has 4 or 5 tiny tiny babies with bright yellow mouths - they are sweet but difficult to get photos as so dark at that part of the garden. A sparrowhawk had nabbed a blue tit this weekend unfortunately but I suppose they have to eat too🙁
  9. We had ducks in the 1980's - never ate them as eggs but baked with them and they were good to bake with very rich. I think you got a duff one!🙁
  10. Goodness to the hail. Must live in the frozen North!! We just have rain but was doubled up to 14 degrees from 7 yesterday!
  11. Our pollen thankfully got washed to the ground! Feel sorry for you.
  12. We needed the rain - we got rain yesterday and again today - persistant light rain which is what we needed to get the ground really damp as it was so dry - unfortunately its down to 7 degrees with it from 27 the other day. Heating is back on yet again and cat is positioned under the radiator streaked out to get warm! Got to love Scotland really.🤣
  13. I am glad you are getting out and about - slower up here and I am very wary still and think we still need to be careful very careful as it could come back as a second wave god forbid. There are more vehicles here and the usual young boy racers have never stopped really. All our whisky distilleries are closed so much less lorry traffic here though which is a bonus. Thankfully retired last year and can just do my own thing. Who said Scotland was cold? 27.4 degrees here and max round about was 28 degrees today - was lovely
  14. Was he singing the Durum Durum song too! LOL.
  15. Not really missing much at all except seeing my sons work on his house - long long drive north. Other than that I am fine.
  16. And there are no toilet facilities open for all these people !!!
  17. Everything is beautiful but the blanket is stunning
  18. Went 6 miles to the pharmacy for a prescription for my OH You would think we had no lockdown at all now as the level of traffic is almost back to the normal here. Scotland is still in lockdown so no idea why but think' people are Fed up. It makes me mad. I was also the only one wearing a mask in the pharmacy. Still cases every day in our county too.
  19. Ooh I went there with my USA friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course the usual foreign photo snappers could not help trying to take photos in the chambers with the Crown Jewels despite being told and big posters with photos of cameras with a cross on. Loved it all and also the London eye. We did loads. it was trooping the colour weekend so you can imagine the excitement Of my 2 American friends to see the royal family on the balcony.
  20. I bet the air is so much nicer too. I see on the news lots back to work today and not a lot of social distancing coming off trains Etc. I loved visiting London but it was so very busy.
  21. Wow to driving in the empty streets
  22. I live in Scotland and our rules are different but I took from England's new regulations you could travel anywhere to exercise but not to visit people. Maybe I took it wrongly! The virus was brought up here by people bringing their relative up here quite near to me for lockdown and it has spread so I think travel should be short distances only. It's nuts.
  23. Awe that's sad to read. Beautiful photos. I had a holiday from chooks after last one went (fox) and then decided not to have any more. Garden recovering slowly. Nice to see the garden path and it's not covered with soil from their digging in the borders though.
  24. Horrendous rain yesterday lunchtime with hail then rained quietly rest of day. This morning, cold and been snow showers as forecast and is brrrrrrr....
