**Thread of little facts & things**....3

Kleftiko here for Easter just because I love it! Made with and accompanied by Retsina, and a yoghurt sauce. Followed by chocolate of course! x

I love this bag. I love the donkeys and the tree branch, and the colours, and all the little dashes. Very prettily put together and very useful. Thank you my Omlet Easter Bunny. x

I was also pondering this last night. If they went down the oak route, I wonder how many trees they would need? I'm not sure there would be enough oaks in Europe, or even the world! It was most distressing watching it last night.

I've been going this way for years! I should also say that I have posted my parcel! Has everyone received one now? I've put mine with my Easter eggs. I am looking forward to Easter so much, a long weekend and a few treats x

I did a really weird thing. The address I gave for the swap was my dad's address, but with my postcode. I've not lived there for 20 years! I have my parcel. I've given it a squeeze and inspected for postmark (there isn't one). I don't know when it arrived, but I have it now. I've put it out of sight where I wont be tempted to open in advance! x x

Luvachicken! hope you are having a great time in Perth! I spotted a bargain today in Hobbycraft. 36 skeins x 8m of embroidery thread in various colour ways for £5.50! usually £11. I have stocked up! it wasn't marked up on the shelf, but I'd seen it online earlier in the day. It came up as £5.50 on the till straight away. Even the girl on the till was amazed! They are about £1 each when bought individually.

Take one whole free range chicken

Sounds a bit like a Lancashire hot pot. Mmm, will put Lancashire hot pot on list of things to make when OH gets home. He'll be fed up with rice and curry by then! x

So I was thinking, cut a steak off and pan fry, make a curry, good shout on the massaman, I've never made it before but love to eat it! Also as my OH is in Thailand I'm trying to mirror some of the food that he is eating. With what's left on the bone I'd make a stew of some sort (scouse is my local stew!)

    Recommendations for France?

I worry about connections like that! A quick Google says Gare de Nord to Gare de Lyon could be anything from 7 to 17 minutes (and longer obviously!). The RER may be disrupted due to maintenance.

I wanted to do one of those despatch courses years ago, when lots of other omleteers did. I wish I had, but it's not top of my list of things to do at the moment. I ate every bit of my whole chicken and didn't feel like I was eating the same thing every day so that was good. I had cajun chicken breast, pollo leoni (which is a flattened chicken breast dipped in flour, then an egg and parmesan mix) I had a thai stir fry with 100g of trimmings, I made stock with the carcass, which I used in a Tana Ramsay sausage casserole, and I put the legs in a Jamie Oliver Pukka curry, which I had for dinner and a couple of lunches in work. oh and I cooked the wings at the same time as the Cajun Chicken and had them as a late night snack! Now, what to do with half a leg of lamb......

Some inspiration there! I love cajun chicken using the breast cooked with the bone on, it stays juicier that way. I hadn't thought of risotto, good ideas! x

Hi Andy, hope I didn't offend you, or anyone x
  15. Hi! I love a whole roast chicken, but this week I am by myself. if I roast it whole I think I will get fed up with it. so I'm thinking cut the breasts, wings and legs off and use the rest for soup. Make a pukka curry with the legs; stir fry with one and some of the other breast; breadcrumb what's left of the other breast and shallow fry it; freeze the wings until I have more to cook together. I reckon that's five good meals plus the soup, I'll be taking left overs for lunch. What would you do?
