  1. Well I've gone and done it!! My little one is now at school, so after half term I'm going to be a working mum. I've accepted a job working in a school, which will be term time only, and gives me enough time to drop the children off at their school and then dash to work, and then madly dash from work to collect them from school at the end of the day. I'm not sure when things like housework will get done! Any tips from working mums will be much appreciated.
  2. Have a fantastic time. I do admire you for being brave enough to attempt putting up the tent by yourself. When we arrive at a campsite, I always disappear with the children for an hour or two to explore(!), and only return once OH has everything up and sorted. Hope the sun shines and have loads of fun,
  3. Wow, what an amazing job. It sounds absolutey perfect for you and really, really interesting. WELL DONE on getting such a fab position. Sounds like NZ is the place for you!
  4. I agree it was fab. I went to see as a girlie night out and we had a ball!!! It was ridiculous and corney BUT so funny and we laughed from start to finish. I've been playing ABBA non-stop ever since. My vote is for Piers Brosnan.
  5. I must add that we've never had any problems with the hens eating frogs from our garden pond.
  6. A football. Ethan will instantly make loads of friends at the campsite if he has a football!
  7. Most pedigrees have a dedicated rescue association which may be worth contacting, as they will have a waiting list of vetted homes. Or alternatively place an ad in the local paper and then you can choose a good home that will suit the dogs. Good luck,
  8. Thanks for the hints. I'm feeling quite excited about the interview (although I'm sure nerves will creep in nearer the time!). The job is doing all the admin to do with a certain initiative, so I've being doing lots of research on the internet to find out as much as I can about it all. Jx
  9. I've been invited for an interview at a secondary school for an admin post. The job would be brilliant for me as it sounds really interesting and I could still drop off and collect my children from school, and it is term time only! Does anyone have any hints for the sort of questions I may be asked at a school interview. Part of the interview will be carrying out job related tasks -any idea of what they may ask me to do? I'm really out of practice as I haven't worked for 7 years, so any hints would be much appreciated.
  10. Good Luck finding it. I know how lost I would be without mine. I lost mine for a day last year and was frantic and felt so disorientated not knowing where and when I should be doing everything.
  11. This is a well timed message for me too as I've just spent the last two evenings completing an application for a job that I would absolutely love to get! I can't believe the amount of information required. I just hope that my application is considered.
  12. I hope life in NZ is going to be fab! I look forward to hearing how you settle in.
  13. Wow, what a fantastic evening and what a fabulous seats.
  14. My DD is currently reading "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and loving it. She wants to read the other books in series next. She also enjoys the Enid Blyton "Famous Five" books.
