  1. I wasn't going to post, but I must say this thread has made me chuckle!
  2. Unfortunately it is also my Mum's birthday this coming Monday, so with it being a milestone and all we are going to a meal, there is about 40 of us all getting together so that should be nice. A bit sore on the old pocket though!
  3. Certainly looks scrumptupulus!
  4. Yep, they can be kept like a dog or cat, taken for walks etc. They eat about 90% green stuff and 10% meat, eggs, nuts etc. People do keep them in the house and they are easily litter trained. Others keep them outside in large dog kennel sort of environments. Just to let you know. Martin
  5. Yes, the pair we brought over were quarantined in Birmingham for 30 days.
  6. Yer he is lovely. He is 6 months old and is descented. He was born in and imported from ROI where it isn't ilegal. This where most of the skunks for the pet trade are coming from. Nice pics of you with the skunk, trying to convince the boss to get a racoon!
  7. No, I don't have a skunk roaming around my house!!!!! However I have been working at Tiggys Pet Stop in Alcester alongside M&S and we recently got skunks, the girl sold really quickly but the boy is left now. He is absolutely georgeous, he can be a bit jumpy at first when you go near him but he calms down and you can stroke him like a dog or cat. You can take him on walks too, will have to take some pictures next time he goes out. Let me introduce you to Pepe..... http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/zz211/tiggyspetstop/004.jpg
  8. I know what you mean about 'eliminate on the go'. I haven't noticed a smell either, they are pretty clean actually and can be litter trained, I never bothered doing this but they always do their business in one particular corner. I must get a picture of Paddy our chocolate pinto to upload too. My girlfriend and I half own him and therefore he is at her house but I never take my camera! He is absolutely georgeous and the best pinto I have ever seen, shame he isn't a girl. He will make lovely babies none the less!
  9. You should definately get some, they aren't too hard to come by now, unlike when I first got them when it was a 50-100 mile journey to get one if you were lucky. They are more popular now following their media coverage. Hope you get one in the future. Martin
  10. Well, they're not quite babies anymore.. They were born on the 3rd October and are waiting for new homes now Just thought I'd share a few pictures with you. They are both boys, one is a ruby eyed cinnicot and the other is an albino. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/104.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/105.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/112.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g198/marton2/114.jpg They're not the best pictures, couldn't get them to keep still! Martin
  11. I haven't done so, as mine seem to be ok. I belive it can be done like with guinea pigs though. Sorry not to be much more help. I am now working in a pet shop part time alongside my M&S job, we have pygmy hedgehogs in stock most of the time, we have sold about 20 this year. People have traveled 100s of miles to collect them. Mad! Martin
  12. Laughing out loud whilst wearing a....... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. COOKIE MONSTER T-SHIRT.
  13. Not been around for a while too. Saw Lesley a couple of weeks ago, and prompted me to have a snoop. Hope everyone is ok. Merry Christmas etc. etc.
  14. Ooooops! Sorry. I absolutely love them! Just gave them all some fresh chicken and they go mad for it. They love live mealworms too. Where did you get your hedgie from? Will try and dig up some recent photos tomorrow of the hoglets, they should be ready to go in a week or so...
  15. Plus they also get a hell of a lot bigger than you think! All the media hype with these has shown them sitting in a teacup etc, however they do get up to 16" long, so they are not ideal for flats etc which some people seem to believe...
  16. I also love the idea of big cats being out there. Here in Alcester quite a few years back there was a big frenzy in the town after one was sighted, filmed and photographed only 250m from my front door. I do believe Pumas and perhaps Lynxes are out there. I would also love to see a Scottish Wild Cat or Fishing Cat in the wild.
  17. It's also interest free on the M&S card from opening your acccount for 10 months. You also get a free magazine quaterly worth £2.50. Soon adds up in voucher value, worth it! Martin
  18. Yer the M&S one is good, liking the Debenhams one with the cute dogs too!
  19. The title gave me a bloomin' hear attack! Then I though, hey we got one of those today too! Martin
  20. Lovely pinto on the hedgehog. Have 3 myself now, one chocolate pinto, one brown, one chocolate. Also have 2 hoglets, one albino and one brown. Anyone else on here keeping these now?? Martin
