I may just grass it, and make it grow long, like really long, so they don't ruin it! Getting very excited now I bought some eggs off ebay, long time ago, but she said they would be infertile, and they were, so she took them back. She's meant to send us some febuary sometime. There chocalate bibbed! Cheers, Tom -

I was thinking a 2x3m middle bit, then two 3x3m sections each side. One of them with grass, the other slabbed, with bark or something over it? Cheers, Tom -

Or 3 runs! A mini run in the middle with the house and pond in it, sandwiched between the winter and summer runs on either side, with gated access Or is that what you mean Tom123? (sorry, butting in! But I love runs!) Another very good idea, my dad also thinks this is a great idea, high possibility, thanks very much for your input. "TuttiTom Teamwork" good name eh? Cheers, Tom -

Spoke to dad, and showed him what you wrote, and preferred Option 2, same as me, so did my mum. So, we are most probaly going to do it, mum said she'd speak to dad about it, but that always means yes And were going ahead with the sebrights. So good news all round A question for the WIR, what size pond for the ducks do you think? Thanks very much for your help. Cheers, Tom -
Thanks very much, and I replied on the other thread. Cheers, Tom

Your a hero! I'm going to speak to my dad, about it now, show him what you wrote, and see what he thinks. I'll let you know on the outcome. Thanks very much! Cheers, Tom -
About what I was thinking, there's a big sale soon, at Mildenahall, Suffolk. It's massive, and some real good quality stuff there sometimes. Let's hope there's something there. Got too get some funds now... I have a load of stuff to sell, so thats about £50, £40ish, for the rest of my stock, and put in some of my own money, from my cash box, about £30, £120 on chickens, and some other things. I've already got a 9ftx3ft coop, that I bought ages ago, but never opened it So I could use that, here's what it looks like: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/9ft-Poultry-Hen-Chicken-House-Coop-Rabbit-Hutch-109AT_W0QQitemZ220559972257QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Poultry?hash=item335a6617a1 I got it for £140, because I found one cheap So that should be ok for them. Suppose that's all? Cheers, Tom

I might not buy it new, as in my opinion it's expensive, so I'll just buy it second-hand I'm not too up on prices with sebrights, but I know they aren't cheap. I'm prepared to spend a good amount of money, for a decent trio. What price approx would I be looking at for a trio of gold sebrights? Cheers, Tom
-
I think I've made my decision on Gold Sebrights. I want to get a trio, or qaurtet(bad spelling, I mean 1 cockerel, 3 hens). I'm quite intrested in getting an eglu possibly, if I can get the funds. Would a standard classic be ok for a trio/quartet of sebrights? I do like Wyandottes, but not yet, maybe one day Cheers, Tom

Bargain! We use this plastic basket, with an egg tray in it, works well

Hey all, Well, this year I'm going to be getting a trio/quatet(sp) of call ducks. We have a massive plot, sizing 19m(62ft)x15m(50ft) approx. Most of the will be grassed. We were going to let the ducks roam freely, but they'd fly over the fence. So I want to get a WIR. My dad insists on building, so we can go it how we want . I was just wondering how big you think it should be. We want to have a little duck house in there, a small pond for them, and just the rest spare, with over stuff etc. Also, I'm not sure what to put on the floor, suggestions? Also, if any has any tips of building these, It'd be gret for you too share them Cheers, Tom

True, I'll look into these. Personally I wouldn't call them Very Rare, we have bred alot here, I'd class them as uncommon, I'm seeing more and more every day. It's not that they want them, it's I want to go for something different, my parents only have pekins (except 3 cochins) and I would like something different. Thanks for your input though Any other suggestions? Cheers, Tom8)
