Have just ordered an all-in-one coat for my lab mainly to stop him shaking all up my walls and to try to control the wet dog smell. Hope he'll wear it fingers crossed

Have had my batts now for a month and have wormed them with flubenvet . They don't like many treats( worm etc) but do free-range each day. They are on ex-batt pellets but I keep getting really watery, stinky poohs. Any ideas what I can do to help them ? They're bums arn't messy

Having spent the day siliconing the wir ( great idea til girls pulled some up ) and sitting in sun watching my lovely but skinny ex batts dust bathing I thought I'd look on Facebook for exbatts keeping to share my enjoyment. BIG MISTAKE! I love KFC and McDonald's but if they use exbatts not any more . How do I find out if this is true?

Fantastic, is there a certain type that's better? Good/bad way of doing it? Was going to put it round base on outside ?

Could I use silicon round bottom of wir. I think it's comming in due to unevenness of slabs but havn't time or money to level them. Use hem core in wir and they keep getting soggy poor things.

We keep getting rain seeping under wir. Is there anything quick,easy and cheap which would cure this

My ex-batts are doing really well. Eating,drinking ,laying etc but one still has diarrhea .although she is not unwell was just wondering how to stop it. Am using a tonic in their water and have on only had them 3 weeks. Is it too early to worm? Got to say am loving my new girls

That's what I thought but didn't know if they were strong enough to do it yet? Don't have confidence to do it myself so will have to book the into vets

We got our girls same time as you guys and I'm looking for my chicken confidence. Girls are doing great. But they can already jump onto highest perch in wir and I am now really worried about letting them fr incase I loose one over fence. Any ideas would be great. They are fantastic girls and sooooo friendly

They look great. Ours are settling in well aswell. Each have laid and they even took themselves off to bed last night. Bit of fighting but not too bad. Loving them

And very confident too, already eating ,drinking putting dog in his place (and each other). If a bit vocal !

We got ours from there today aswell. Bit of a wait but more than worth it. They are all sooo helpful and the girls arn't too thread bare

Well the title says it all. We're collecting three lovely ex-batts today. Havn't had them for a few years but guess these should look bette than first lot as cages have been banned? I'll try andost some pics. Off to get things ready now

Sounds great. Going to buy mash when collect them as thought would be nice to boost donation.will they sell life guard aswell? Also when is it best to worm, mite etc them?

I decided to re-home my last orp with my cousin in cambridge as she has a lot of land and nice flock of mixed girls. So glad I did as just got call to say she's settled in really well and now has a new boyfriend,so after months of trying to stop her being broody (and loosing the fight) it seems she may get chance to be a mummy so, I pick up three lovely ex-batts on Saturday. Havn't had them for a few years so any advice would be very much appriciated.

We thought the same. Brought two orps( quite expensive) and although love them they are more work. They do keep going broody, fussy with food and I lost one a few weeks ago, only two years old the other is now lonely and only happy when free-ranging with me for company so have found her great new home on small holding and going back to batts. Also found the pure breeds a lot more noisey which is another reaon we're going back to batts

Hi all, have found great home for my last girl and have put my name down for more ex-batts. Don't get them til end of July but wanted to ask other than food what can I give them for that extra boost. There seems to be Iots of things on market but what are the best. Kind regards Donna

U're hens sound great. My question is noise level. My old ones wern't noisey but have to re home my orp due to squawking most of the day?

Am going to get some ex-batts( rescue 28th July). Fingers crossed they are not solo vocal. My oh could even hear bluebel over a mower yesterday. He was working from home and she squarked her head off alllll day

Well, good news. She s happy to take on my noisey girl. Although going in holiday so can't go til 14th July but that means I get a few weeks to try and enjoy her as long as I let her fr as much as possible. Her new home sounds amazing only problem is I'll be green with envy when we drop her off .

It's really not a nice feeling fingers crossed can find her new home before get complaint
