    tit box

Not been on for ages--computer problems baffle me Anyway, the girls are fantastic, but now have new birds. For christmas 2005 I got a bird box with a camera. Last year I had a couple of visits but nothing else. This year a blue tit has built a nest. I've brushed the rabbits each day and left their fur out with moss that Mable and Gloria have helpfully scratched up.I can watch the tits take the fur, then watch them on TV building the nest with it. I have a portable TV next to a fish bowl with tad poles in it .I'm happy but partner thinks I'm a bit sad. Just a little insight into my life!
  3. My two free range most days.I have a safe garden surrounded by walls or the sides of an old quarry,so no fear of them running off They have a nack of finding the most recent expensive plant I've bought and devouring it!The chickens are definately in charge

loved Cassie, In my mind I'm still a teenager!
  5. you can hang the fur you find or brush out in onion nets for the birds to use as nesting material
  6. its snowing here and has hailed/snowed on and off all day............not pint in the garden weather
  7. Mabel has layed a double yolker every day this week. I presume this is because shes young. Should I be pleased or worried?
  8. is he/she nawing on the hutch or the metal of the run? This can rub off fur on the sides of his face. Giving other things to naw on may help
  9. I put sultanas, corn, etc in a hollow bobbly rubber ball from a pet shop thats sold for keeping dogs entertained. It takes them ages to keep "kicking" it around to get the treats out
  10. olly, I've only had mine since Christmas day, but they've been fighting fit, with no problems and an absolute joy (and today was my first day with 2 eggs as Mabel started laying). I think you're right that the posts on the clinic give a bias view of their health. Perhaps we should focus more on the daily, unremarkable good health of our girls,
  11. I'll get no work done tomorrow now
  12. Mine have just started. One v small one on Saturday and another same size on Sunday. None today. Gloria's a big girl. Do the eggs gradually get bigger?
  13. mine go mad for a pot with half sand, half ash http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t96/matter7/?action=view&current=CIMG1423.jpg
  14. your post has saddened me clare. mine peck our patio doors and I was trying to convince myself that they were pecking insects but I think its the putty stuff. No damage yet but they are there every day
  15. Laura its definately worth going. It was the best holiday I've ever had.You see northern lights ,go on huskie sleigh rides and on snowmobiles across frozen rivers at night. http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t96/matter7/?action=view&current=CIMG0221.jpg http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t96/matter7/?action=view&current=CIMG0117.jpg Hope you get to go soon
