Well done that man, it looks fabulous! OH said it looks brand new Have fun getting your chooks -
The floor of the WIR that our two Muscovy girls share is part pea shingle, which their paddling pool sits on, some slate paving stones in the middle and then hardwood wood chip at the end nearest their This setup has worked brilliantly for years

Sorry, very late to this but we've got two Muscovy girls and they're just wonderful Had Miniature Appleyards in the past and the noise was just too much for where we live

We've got two Muscovy girls, Millie and Maude and they rule the roost in our garden They have Garvo duck pellets, fresh spinach leaves, dried mealworms (which are their favourite thing of all) and mixed corn in winter. I've seen Maude having a go at eating some of our windfall apples but they prefer hunting for slugs and snails -
I am! Fab isn't it

We have two females in our little gang of six fancy goldfish and they've been getting the same harassment for the last few weeks, bless 'em. The males are trying to get them to release their eggs and they'll usually do this amongst the plants; then they'll eat them.

Sorry to hear that We have five fancy goldfish and we adore them...they're such funny and sweet little characters so we can imagine how upset you're feeling *hug*

Which are the best ducks?
Cheeky Chooky replied to debbiedoobs's topic in Ducks, Quail and other Poultry
If you get some more I can highly recommend Muscovies...our girls are so friendly, they make no noise and they lay wonderful We wouldn't be without them -
Our Muscovy girls are let out of their at about 06:30 and they've always laid by then. Can you keep them confined to the smaller run and give them their water in something that they can't lay their in? If they've only just started laying, it could be a bit haphazard to start with anyway

Cheeky Chooky replied to clucker1's topic in My Family and Other Animals
We've used them with our 2 terriers from pups and they've never attempted to chew them...and they've always sat in the back on their own -

Ouch! Sorry to read you've been in the wars Ali My OH had to go to our local hospital's A&E Dept a few weeks ago and he had excellent treatment and care however my Mum's just spent Wed-Fri in the same hospital after suffering 2 mini strokes and from start to finish, her experience was diabolical Hope you're fully recovered soon -

Ozzy finally does something useful!
Cheeky Chooky replied to JellyBean2605's topic in My Family and Other Animals
Oh poor Ozzy Our cat also brings her prey in alive and it's usually mice...however we've had a spate of rat catching which thankfully one of our terriers has helped to dispatch -
