Goosey Lucy
Eww! Sorry, can't help but am watching this in case it ever happens to one of my girls. She's looking fabulous tho'. Perhaps she'll settle down now?
DucktorWho
I hope so, although perhaps her egg laying days are over. I'm sure I found something relevant even when I was searching the internet about her problems at New Year but I can't remember what search terms I used. I've tried laid, lump, fleshy, odd, weird and egg problems to no avail.
Egluntyne
It is what is known as a "lash". Occasionally they expel a bit of gubbins from the laying tackle and it looks like a bit of cooked chicken or an eraser. She may have had some sort of infection and the body has dealt with it. I bet she will feel a whole lot better after getting rid of that. I'd be wanting to cut it open to see what was hiding in that bobbly bit. This subject comes up from time to time. The pictures are excellent...I wonder if they could be "stickified" by a mod to save us having to trawl through the forum if we want to refer to them again. Great idea, fingers crossed. Is the term 'lash' in the omlet dictionary? If not, can it be added with a picture? Not sure how these things work tho'. Christian
I have stickified it now. Great picture btw. Hope she continues to improve and the egg laying returns to normal soon. She is looking lovely again.

Thank you so much - I can relax about it now! I don't know about cutting it open though, it was about all I could stomach to take the photo
