Janty
I have just put hubby and son on the coach for Wembley. Son has been up since 3 am. I won't tell you the response that he got from me when he wanted to make biscuits for the journey at 4 in the morning. Apparently, every coach firm in the area is booked and 17,000 people are reported to be leaving the Lowestoft area today heading for Wembley. I think that today might be a good day to go shopping. Janty
Lowestoft Town FC have got through to the final of the FA Vase trophy. Ususal gates are only about 500 people.
Rona
Good for them. I hope they do well. I don't live too far from Lowestoft so I should know but as I don't really have an interest in football that sort of thing easily passes me by.
little chickadee
Good idea Janty - I like going shopping when there are world cup games on!
Janty
Just had a phone call from hubby. He says that Kop Boy (son) is loving it. They have VIP hospitality tickets as our school has business enterprise links with the club and we print all their home game tickets. They have been given a pre match buffet and they are on leather seats not far from the royal box and only seven rows back from the pitch. They had to wear smart casual clothes as no jeans or trainers were allowed in the hospitality suites.

I didn't even know they had a football team! (well obviously they don't, they share one with Wesham down the road! ) Let us know who wins Janty! Janty
Hope it's Lowestoft. Little one would bust something. It would be the perfect end to a perfect day. Hubby says Kirkham have very little support there compared to Lowestoft. Half time refreshments were iced water and coffees served with biscotti. How the other half live! Would be lovely if they did win for him (but it's 2:1 to Kirkham at the moment ) To be fair it is rather a long way to Wembley for most Kirkhamites (even Manchester is a long way for Kirkhamites! )

Rona
Oh What a shame! but it must have been a fantastic experience for Kop Boy and one he will remember all his life. I hope he gets other opportunities to see them take home the cup. How old is he?
