Katie
I never normally shut the eglu door, but tonight I have done to keep them both together, and i'm up at the crack of dawn all week to let them out and put Oreo in her seperate run! Going to attach chicken wire horizontally across the top of the fence where she got over, so hopefully she won't want to do it again And the wing clipping should help as well I hope! Katie
Hello all! Everything went OK this morning, I lifted her out of the eglu at about half 6 into her seperate run, and have kept Meringue in the big run with her. Although Meringue thinks Oreo's food is better than hers so is pacing up and down the divide I will put Oreo in the eglu at dusk, and then do the same routine for about 5 days, and then have her in the big run for a couple of days before letting her free range for a bit

Katie
Been sat in the run this afternoon having a chat to her and watching her dustbathe She seems quite content until I open her run door when she immediatly thinks i'm going to try and catch her! Have tried her feeding out of my hand but I think it's a bit soon for that yet! Just a little pic of her having a dustbathe from today : P.s - She had managed to undo and knock over her drinker today (I swearr this hen's got superpowers!), but as I didn't want to scare her i left them in and just put a bowl of water by the door which can't be seen. So she wasn't dying of thirst if that's what it looks like!
