Egg Lou
wow they do look very settled. do they bite your toes, wow you are brave going in toe open shoes To be honest they only tried a bit but not bad at all! although that might change as they have had "treats" this afternoon as I needed to clip wings..and boy did they go nuts for sweetcorn! Have a feeling my trips down the garden may now be more like running the jauntlet

Agree that they look right at home, lovely Sorry! I am pretty sure she is a fair bit older than the others though so I would imagine older than yours too.. I can't age chooks at all and as the breeder had emergency he was not around to tell me either.. Her comb is much bigger and redder so think she's about 4 weeks older?? Oh and I will get over to you this week .. honest!
Valkyrie
Wow, how about that for a "Thank you for bringing me home with you"! How lovely for your daughter too. Congrats again. They don't seem to mind the company at all, glad to see all going well, apart from poor Porche. At at least they don't seem to be all pouncing and drawing blood, so hopefully they will all settle down soon. When we assembled our cube, I gave OH the wrong washers for the ladder - only when the run was added did we notice - he had to crawl in and nearly got stuck - I'm not even going to attempt it! How's the bran working so far?

How's the bran working so far? Yes we were pleased! Can't really answer on the bran yet Kerry as todays poos have been .. well rather unpleasant! I'm hoping its due to the move and perhaps having treats for the first time.. I'll let you know when they have been on it a while long longer! There's no way I'll fit through the dorr either but my adapted flap works well instead!

Valkyrie
The flap sounds a good idea, what did you do? It must make things so much more easy to reach inside. Potential copy-cat here!
Egg Lou
The flap sounds a good idea, what did you do? It must make things so much more easy to reach inside. Potential copy-cat here! I listed a complete set of instructions and photos in the cube/eglu section.. have a look and let me know if it doesn't make sense! And don't worry about copying.. others asked for details which is why I listed the instructions... all tips are shared here!

Valkyrie
Thankies - found the section - such a good idea. I must get 2 extensions so that both my mum and dad can go in, not sure where to put the chickens though.
