We've put up with the crowing from Megan for months, (RAAWWWKK cluck cluck cluck) and general noise from Abbie, but I was shocked to hear Katy crowing for the first time ever in 2 years. I heard a distressed sqwark, ran out, saw Katy shed some feathers and start crowing as something (passing bird or cat?) had scared her.

The other 2 are such a bad influence. They make noise, spook at nothing, lay few eggs and sit about sunning themselves all the time.

Katy was the quiet one who goes to bed early

With chickens, it seems to be the luck of the draw. Hope you get yours sorted out!

She's obviously learning some bad habits choccie! My Bella tries to teach the others bad habits by jumping into the veg patch, but they just stand and gawp at her - they haven't figured it out for themselves yet!

I must admit Abbie tried for days to copy Katy flying into the hedge, but couldn't work out that she needed to fly halfway onto the eglu first, missed, and tumbled out of the hedge

They've not worked out perching on the food bin, or sneaking out through tiny gaps in the doorway yet either. Thinking about it, Katy is quite a rebel too. but a lot more intelligent
