Alfred
Do chickens always lay the same colour egg? One of mine laid quite a pale egg today and looking at the ones i already have one of them is exactly the same colour whilst the others are all browner. It could be a useful way to tell who's laid what!
Egluntyne
They seem to get a bit paler as the hen ages.
mrsallen08
Hmm well I have 4 exbatts, 3 are laying atm! We have from quiche omlette scrambled The colours aren't as vivid as on here but yes they are all different even though they all eat the same etc. Im now wondering what colour our 4th Exbatt will lay??? (She isn't allowed a name till she lays! _ Then we will have to decide!)
Milly
Our two Omlet hens lay eggs of a different brown colour, which is very handy for telling them apart. The other two older girls lay white eggs, but one egg is small and almost pearly, the other is large and matt white. I'm beginning to give up hope of ever finding out what eggs the others will lay! (Well, I know what they will lay, I just don't know when ) Milly
