Snow

Recommended Posts

We have snow again yesterday and today and the girls are not amused and not keen to come out of their lovely dry run with the corrugated plastic on top. I need to add some plastic to the sides as I see some snow has blown in there and have some in the garage from last year so will do it today and they will be warm as toast.

I am wary of going out in the car just yet as the roads are a bit bumpy looking but I am sure it will melt for the afternoon.

The birds are demolishing the peanuts, sunflower hearts and fat squares in record time this morning and have had to put out fresh water for them as the bird bath water is frozen as was the girls this morning.

Ugh I hate the cold. Any of you got snow?

None here either

As much as I like snow it's a good job really, I had a hen party this morning & I'm glad it was dry & calm, even if it was really cold.

We didn't stay out in the garden as long as we usually would, but went inside for some lunch & a hot drink.

Freezing cold here today. I am waiting for snow. Lots of logs piled up by the door and keep looking at the sky. Temperature is dropping quickly, but no sign of the white stuff yet

Had a look at www.Metcheck.com and it is forecast for very cold next week. Temps of 1C but feeling like -17 :shock: Also 300mph winds???? Is that a mistake. Looked at Andover as that is my nearest Town.

Glad I am off and don't have to brave it next week. Supposed to be driving to Scotland though on Wednesday

It's been snowing lightly here but the flakes have just got bigger and thicker, and are starting to settle.

I lit the woodburner yesterday! :) However I'm hoping this clears before tomorrow morning when I have to go to work :( I'm spending most of today indoors - filing, sorting out photos and making a start on the Christmas cards!

Snow showers yesterday which didn't manage to settle. This morning we have woken up to about 2 inches of the white stuff. The road is silent 8) and our little lane is untouched by tyre marks.

I will be getting the sledges out of the shed later and taking Natalie up to the Castle for some sledging fun. I hope we don't end up sliding into the moat

James was very excited when it started snowing. He told us that God had sent the snow. Then he stood by the back door and looked out and said

"Thank you God for sending the lovely snow - Amen"

It was very funny to hear him being so serious as he said it! He's out there now in his jammies with wellies, hat and coat trying to shovel snow.

Rain here as well. Although earlier there was a very fine dusting of the white stuff, but its all gone now.

I was out last night and the car temp said minus 1 at 11.30, so think it probably got even colder than that later. brrrr.

Its the sort of day to stay indoors, but the kiddies have a party to go to in town later.
