Can someone tell me the name of the Pink disinfectant used for chicken runs, It is beginning to smell and i need to put something downand then cover it with a wood chip so i can clean it all out and burn it as at the moment they are just on dirt and fsirly hard to clean.

Stalosan F is pink, could it be that?

Hi, if you mean the dry powder pinky orange disinfectant its called Stalosan F. You can brush it over the floor of the run or sprinkle on covering.

my chickens are on bark, is it safe to sprinkle this on the run and let the chicks back on it straight away - do you have to 'hose it in' or something?

The literature says its safe for chickens so you'll be ok

No, you can just sprinkle it liberally about then put your bedding on top. It's totally safe and the chickens can go straight back onto it. I put down powdered garden lime at the same time, to keep the soil "sweet".
