At last It's here, her first beautiful egg. It's a very pale creamy coloured shell, the lightest coloured egg of those we get so far.

 

Our first half dozen day, and today is also my ED birthday party day (birthday was Wednesday) so ED thinks she did it as a present for her

 

Just our two new girls to lay now, though they show no signs at all yet; Combs/wattles still small and pale but, I can wait.

 

Fairly pointless post but, no here really 'gets' my excitement.

One of my cochin pullets laid her first egg on thursday and the other pullet laid her first on friday and I am so proud.

 

It is definitely worth getting excited over!

My Gin is showing all signs of imminent laying and I think I will be running around the cul de sac knocking on doors showing everyone the first egg when I get one.

(yesterday was a softie!) well two actually! I thought one was Flo aswell, but hard to tell. But Dory lays such sweet fat round little eggs, so cute!
