sootem
Last night I spotted a rat running out of my cube run. I am now very very anxious and wonder if anyone can give me advice on how to eradicate them. Obviously if there's one there must be more. Guest
HI This has been asked before and the best way is to get some Rat poison (I buy the loose stuff...granules ) and get a proper bait box(all u do is fill up the inside of the box the dosage will be on the type of poison u use). It is important to put it in a proper bait box as they stop other wildlife ie hedghogs and your birds getting the poison. Leave the bait box outside the run along a wall or edge most rats go along the edges of walls/boundaries. Do not put any poison down loose as u run the risk of other animals eating it. the bait boxes i have are rentokil and I am sure someone posted on here B&Q?? may sell the boxes. The poison go to a country store and you can buy a big tub of it for about£18 it will last for ages. Once my chickens arrive I am going to leave the box permanently set up. Also dont leave food lying around etc When i had ducks we had rats and when i lost the ducks i still had rats!! Simple ..you can get big Rat traps but I just could not face emptying one out...mice yes rats no! indie
