The stiching is impeccable and workmanship is absolutely amazing. *makes mental note to practice more with sewing machine* However, inside the bag was a cute, fabric chicken, with real feathers for her tail I will post photos as soon as I can but we have a busy day today so I wont get chance until this evening. We're in the middle of having our kitchen remade so this will be a perfect addition once it's finished. I love the colours too (creams and greens). Chook n Boo Mum Posted August 2, 2009 Share Posted August 2, 2009 Well I have opened mine......how restrained was i ?!...... and I have the most gorgeous bracelet with buzzy bees on and a matching bag charm..... and a closeup of the buzzy bee and darling little "made with love" flower tag.... Thank you sooo much, after my shower my bracelet will be attached to my wrist and the charm attached to my bag before we scoot out the door to enjoy another child-free day of grown-up stuff...none of it exciting but so much easier without bored, moaning babies!! I opened it on the dot at midnight last night , otherwise I wouldn't have been able to sleep. But I didn't post then as I wanted to wait for good daylight to take pictures to do full justice to my wonderful gifts . Look at this beautiful cushion. It says Sun and Summer on it, and has chicken buttons on as well . I love it . I just can't believe anyone is clever enough to make something like that. As if that wasn't enough, I also got this tea-towel with a cross-stitched mother light sussex and her chicks on it. Fabulous , will never be used, but treasured I promise. I also got this lovely cat cartoon card with it all, hoping I would enjoy my gifts. As if there could be any doubt . Thank you, thank you, thank you, secret swapper. I am so touched and thrilled to be the receiver of your gifts. I really do hope my receiver feels the same about mine , I'm not in same league at all . They have spent a lot of time making each individual page with frilly edges, stickers & gorgeous charms. I am really really chuffed to bits with it as I always write a little 'book' when I travel. It is perfect as we are going away for a week in our tourer van end of August, so I can journal in that. Thank you.. photos later. Inside was a lovely little oval shaped cardboard box with green raffia ribbons and a spray of lavender. Smelt heavenly ! Inside the box was the most delicate and beautiful little chain necklace with a little egg pendant. It's stunning Thank you, thank you, thank you ! He received 6 lovely square coasters, which are perfect for our wine glasses in our caravan. He also got a drawstring flip flop bag, which he says he will use as a toiletries /wash bag. I've got a lovely cushion of pink and light brown stripes - I love stripes! ...and a lavender bag of the same material (which I'm going to put under my pillow as the little bag smells so nice) ...and a pretty bunch of lavender ...and a little pin cushion in the shape of a doggie. All hand-made perfectly and with very good taste. I was just thinking the other day 'I must make myself a decent pin cushion' as I'd be using an old bit of sponge ... The only thing is my 8 year old has fallen in love with 'Scotty' and won't let me put pins on it (he acused me of practising dog voodoo... what sort of things do these children watch!?)... I must make myself a pin cushion after all as my lovely pressie has become son's new pocket companion. (Must say it's really cute with little black beady eyes...)
