Aga n Chickens
No need to set the alarm clock for this morning so last night we left the window open and were woken by the most glorious dawn chorus. I could identify thrushes, black birds and our new settlers the gold finches, then a trickling river of other birds in the background before the doves and wood pigeons took over. When we went outside later to see the chooks and collect the first of today's eggs, a squadron of swifts flew over the garden. We both looked up and said "SWIFTS !" Later than usual for them to arrive in our area, but a sign of good weather to come Regards, Christine

jackiepoppies
Hmmm.........we had 29o on Thursday.......and I was sat in a French lesson That evening we had a thunder storm with hailstones that were HUGE As for all the birds it's brilliant and we have a little sparrow nesting in the climbing rose by our front door. Today, OH is sat on little tractor cutting grass and it really feels as if summer is here Jx
Blackrocksrock
We have fledgelings and birds and feeding frenzies all over the place and nests all over the place too including queen bumble bees and hopefully a nest again of them this year. But it s FREEZING cold for May and its whisky festival up here this week ending tonight with capercaillie in concert in aberlour but at £29 a ticket I reckon I will hear it up here just fine and a tornado fly past is also planned - we are above the town and get a great view of the fly pasts so looking forward to that. But its still too cold here to say spring!

Oooh, if I could have anything it would be to fly in a Tornado or a Harrier. Bliss. We have them fly past us on a regular basis as we live not too far away from the RAF base. Goosebumps when it happens every time !! Enjoy x

Alis girls
Chilly but dry in North West London. have magpies nest in garden, and some blue tits somewhere as can hear them chirping. Too chilly to leave bedroom window open. No sireee still huddled under winter duvet with OH, ginger tom and YS when he gate crashes our bed We also have a blackbird who sounds like our house phone when he serenades his missus. Once or twice I've dashed in house to find phone deadly quiet. No penguins only choccie ones
