Nintendo DS Lite Game Suggestions

Recommended Posts

I had one of these for my 40th birthday last week off DS (who thought it amusing to suggest that now I'm 40 I might need brain training :lol: - little monkey!!). He also said "look on the bright side Mum, you're only 20 years from getting your free bus pass"

Anyway, I've got Professor Layton and the Curious Village, which I'm slowly working through but wondered if anyone has got any other suggestions for some good games. I love games like Solitaire and Mahjong and have already spotted these so will probably be making a couple of purchases before much longer but it would be good to have some more suggestions too :D

I have the Solitaire one and it's superb!!

I can also heartily recommend the 42 All-Time Classics which has lots of different games in - card games, chess, ludo, ten pin bowling, billiards, dominoes.....lots of great games, and you can also play against other people if they have a DS Lite and they are in the same room. I use this one all the time!

There's also a pack which has 100 classic novels in it, which I'm planning to get!

I got rhythm paradise the other day and it is excellent. It's really funny, as you'd expect from the ds but it's also quite hard to get the rhythm and so has the potential to last for ages. I completed Professor Layton too quickly, although only the minimum puzzles to complete the story. There is another Professor Layton coming out, net year i think.

Ah, I was going to suggest that one to you. We've not got it, but I thought it looked a really good game when I saw the ads. Not sure what else to suggest. My kids have got game games (Nintendogs, Lego Star Wars, Wall-E plus many, many more) Not sure if they'd appeal to you.

Oh please don't mention Tetris. I used to go boggle-eyed when we had it on the Sega Megadrive years ago. I've got enough addictions to the games on Facebook

Think I'm definitely going to buy Mahjong, Solitaire and perhaps one of the brain training ones for now :D

Thanks for all the suggestions - keep them coming if you think of anymore :D

I love Animal Crossing!!! its non competative, you get to live in a little village, tend your garden, talk to the animals who live in their own houses there, go to the shops, go bug hunting, walk along the beach and collect shells or go fishing! it gets its own seasons so it snows in your village in winter etc!! its a great game if you want to relax and escape in to a different world!!
