laurmurf
Hello all A level people - students and parents! it's 45 mins to go until results day and in our house life is on hold. While we 'know' that UCAS won't post results at midnight (an urban legend) it's not easy to get to log off before then! The Lurker and I would like to wish everyone good luck tomorrow with their results and finding out about their university places
Ain't Nobody Here
Good luck everyone . (We went through it a couple of weeks ago so I know how it feels .)
laurmurf
I remember reading your posts, ANH.... it's such an anxious time and there's nothing to be done but wait.
poachedegg
We've been trying to get the UCAS site - it won't give results, however it will say if the Uni's have given you a place....but it isn't on there yet ....so off to bed now......very nervous in our house as I think it is going to be very borderline, which is unusual as most things ES does I can pretty much second guess the result, but this I can't call. So fingers crossed and good luck to everyone!!

poachedegg
Well we don't know his results yet, however from the UCAS site we know he has been accepted at his insurance uni (Bangor) and haven't heard from his first choice (Aston), so either way he has got a place ......I think I'm going to cry now! Ain't Nobody Here
Fantastic news . Congratulations to son of Poached Egg . (How odd that you can see the uni place before you have the results .)
poachedegg
Fantastic news . Congratulations to son of Poached Egg . (How odd that you can see the uni place before you have the results .) You would think this day and age that the information would be available together! His first choice uni has not been updated online yet and he can't get his results from college until 10....so slightly weird knowing he's got a place but don't actually know his grades! bellekatz
Well done to ES for getting a place Poached! DD has one AS level result today wghich she isnt too bothered about but has her GCSE's next week. I didnt know that you could find out that stuff on the UCAS site - mind you it's a long time since I went to Uni Hope all you A level students get the grades you need and want ,and get to go to do your preferred courses! Good Luck!
Jules.
Well done Poachedegg's son When I got my results we had to line up to receive bits of paper with them on and phone around Unis/Polys to see what was available in Clearing. This new system is fab

laurmurf
Well we don't know his results yet, however from the UCAS site we know he has been accepted at his insurance uni (Bangor) and haven't heard from his first choice (Aston), so either way he has got a place ......I think I'm going to cry now! CONGRATULATIONS! (to you both!) The Lurker has been trying to get online to UCAS since she got up at 8 but it's refusing to load.... overwhelmed i think! It would be so much easier to get the actual results with the knowledge that there was a place offered (of course being turned down and then having to go to school and pick up the results that weren't quite good enough could very well be worse ) Fingers crossed still for all those out there (kids and parents) who are still waiting! Thinking of you Purple Hen (and good luck to your DS!)
laurmurf
She got in to Brighton! UCAS says: The current status of your Application is: Congratulations! Your place at University of Brighton (B72) to study Applied Biomedical Sciences (B900) has been confirmed. So few words for such a life changing event! I burst into tears when she read out the words and she laughed at me (in a nice way ) so i suppose it's really happening.... I've only got a month left with my big little girl
