I have some 6-8" pepper plants which were given to me by a neighbour a couple of months ago. They've not set fruit at all but look quite healthy. They could definitely do with potting on. Is there any point in keeping them and hoping they will fruit next year? If so, should I pot on now or wait till new growth spurt in the spring? Or should I just bin them?

peppers are treated as annuals in the UK. the first frost and they're done for! you could try keeping them in the house but I doubt they will fruit

I know chillies are perennial and can be overwintered, but they will not tolerate frost/cold.

I am guessing that peppers would be the same.

I have a pepper plant in my office, it has fruited now for 3 consecutive years.

I overwintered 2 chilli plants last year and they have fruited very well again this year, after an aphid problem early on which was solved with regular spraying with soapy water then being put outside. Give it a go what have you got to lose.

That's interesting . I've got a few plants which are either not fruiting yet or only have tiddly ones. I might try keeping them too .

Oh No I threw mine on the compost heap as not fruited!! blast it.
