Alis girls
They rarely are SC - havent watched myself but wish I had - I will be scouring the channels for rpts. I have noticed the Vampire films etc have got more gory _Chritopher Lee and Peter Cushing seem like nice gents in comparison
Cinnamon
Did either of your girls see it Sarah? I think Cleo saw some of them, but as they are 14 & 16 I would have no problem with them seeing it. Cleo is a huge CSI fan & there is more gore in that (but less sex! )
abwsco
My Mum, god bless her soul always used to say she'd rather be doing it than watching it
clootie
My DD will be 14 in November and I would most definitely have a problem with her seeing it, not for the gore factor but for the graphic sexual content. No wonder some kids these days have such a relaxed attitude to sex if this is normal viewing. Nothing is a taboo subject in our house, always open communication and all questions will be answered but I draw the line at graphic sexual images. There's a reason why it's on at the time it is and my DD is usually fast asleep by then. Looks like I must be in the minority then.

Cinnamon
I wouldn't have let a 13 year old watch it either, but (& maybe I am juat very liberal), I didn't think it was that bad really Mine is up at that time at the weekends anyhow, but she has nearly a year on your daughter Clootie
Space Chick
I don't have children Clootie, but I agree with your comments on some young peoples attitude towards sex, no wonder Britain has such a high teenage pregnancy rate if this is classed as appropriate entertainment for teenagers I know my parents would have never let me watch anything like this until I was
Christian
I am *cough* 28 and still not allowed to watch it.

chickencam
We are fairly open here too. I feel that if they have the knowledge and it not tabboo they will talk to you when they need too. Well that's the theory any how I would let ED watch I think because she is old enough to do this stuff, but chooses not too.
mostin
I luuuuuuuurve True Blood , and just to make all you fans really jealous I have already watched season 2 right to the end . It's fantastic . I agree that the content is very adult, but I am an adult, so there you go. I love the Twighlight series as well. I've been off sick and couldn't bare to watch TV or stare at my laptop for long so I got all 4 Twighlight books for my ipod. I'm halfway through book 3 and can't wait for book 4. They just keep getting better and better.

I read the first and found it so-so, and decided not to bother with the rest, but did start 2 as I was stuck for something to read. Surprisingly, I found it quite enjoyable and polished off the rest of the series. I haven't read it yet, but my daughter loved The Host by the same author. craftyhunnypie
I watched it last night - we are on holiday in our caravan & it made scary viewing being as we are staying at Devils Bridge near to Aberystwyth! I loved this! It was very erm rude, but seen stuff like that in other films - American Pie was suggestive enough! I think the vampire in the bar is sooooo fanciable! His fellow vampires are horrid though. Is the barman & the girls brother the same person? Can't wait for next weeks installment! Emma.x Nope, they both have their own stories, & the barmans in particular is fantastic
Falkor
I watched this last night too! I am in LOVE with Bill!!! but then i was in love with Angel too......gotta love those dangerous boys! I thought it was ok.....not amazing.....but def watchable. I spose the naughty scenes demonstated peoples desire to flirt with danger but not sure they were completly necessary or are they needed to set the groundwork for future episodes. I will be tuning in next week...when is it on? Edited October 10, 2009 by Guest
laurmurf
I like graphic! It's nice to have some television programmes that aren't so vanilla - that are designed for an adult audience and don't try to be all things to all people. Vampires are all about the blood, death, violence and if the directors want to throw some raunchy lust in there.... well, I ain't arguing! It's not meant to be ceebeebies! I loved the Sopranos - not a minute that wasn't foul, violent, obscene... or boring! Doesn't mean any of my kids watched it, just means I got to! True Blood is the Sopranos with vamps.... FAB! edited for dumb spelling
