Griffin
My bantam Brahma that's turned out to be a boy gives a muffled crow when he hears me go out to the garden first thing in the morning then has another go around 11am for some reason, then he's silent. He's in the garage with the Polands at the moment and isn't very loud so he can stay for now. Maybe Berry could take a leaf out of his book and just crow twice. Surely that's got to be acceptable
Chook n Boo Mum
Perhaps they should swap emails or mobile numbers & exchange notes They've both been told to keep their beaks firmly shut to safeguard their current living arrangements Sha x
Chicken Shirl
Well I think we all know what the outcome of this is going to be don't we ............Berry is going to either stay here or find another "forever home" with some girlies of his own Holly, Berry, Oak & Lavender have just returned from another visit to the local hospice to see the day patients.........the chooks are all exhausted with all the chatter & have had their egos boosted no end, they are much loved little feather balls there....especially Berry who was beautifully behaved & sat on my arm for ages....I think they've been adopted as mascots in the day hospice Sha x Awwwwwwww, how lovely. I can just picture it. Those darn cockerels are so adorable. Hope it's not too rainy for the school run this friday. Drive safely xx
Jools
mmmmm what's that low-flying pink thing just gone over the garden !!! One of these maybe?? My hubby is complaining about my little Silver Sussex bantam who starts his very high pitched crowing at 5am. His name is Sylvio Berlusconi because he's a handsome, flamboyant little devil with a lot to say for himself.
Chook n Boo Mum
At last I have photos.......photobucket refused to talk to my computer & succeeded in crashing the Firefox section too many times for my liking Last chance was this morning, then everything was going to take flying lessons....not needed though as I've got these piccies................. The boy in question........... This is Holly & Berry together.......... and this was Berry steaming over to Holly for comfort after I returned him to the run after his appointment with the camera.......bless his sweet little heart...Oak looks thoroughly non-plussed by the show of affection Not great photos sorry, but they do not want to sit still and their runs are dreadful in this weather Sha x

mostin
He is beautiful, and I adoooooooore that colouring. You must try and keep him if you can , he just looks so happy with all his girlies there . I know what it's like to have an accidental cockerel, when Bella became Bill, I had already become to fond, and given too many cuddles to do the deed, despite the fact he would have made a fantastic dinner. Luckily he is pretty quiet for such a big boy, and he tries "in vain" to keep all my girls in order .
Chook n Boo Mum
Berry doesn't keep any of my girls in check yet...he lets Jasmine do all the bossing !!!! Yellow Legs the Lt Sx Buffling has just started to posture at Pansy his sister............she just goes " yeah right whatever" & walks off & leaves him to it Sha x That sounds familiar. Bill gets really stressed trying to herd all the girls together. He manages with the young ones, or the lowest in the pecking order, but the oldies and the top chook just completely ignore him . It's so funny, he gets so upset, I think one day he'll have a stroke, but you can just see them tut and roll their eyes saying " Hmph, as if we need to listen to that young whipper snapper, I was laying eggs before he was even thought of" .
