ClaireG
Lovely pics She is obviously very happy and content in her new home Benson has somehow found his way onto the sofas, although when we first got him we said he wouldn't be allowed on the furniture! He does rather like Adam's teddy though
Ziggy
I love that pic of Candy snuggling on the armchair with her 'dad'... she looks like the happiest, most chilled dog on earth!!
Lesley
Lovely photos Jazz isn't allowed on the furniture either Carl's fault
The Dogmother
Ruby isn't and doesn't - I'm a cruel Mum.... but them she's usually pretty muddy
Lesley
We're cruel - we hose Jazz down - outside with the hosepipe - then, she's allowed on a blanket
Ziggy
We have taken a cruel stance with Charlie too, he is not allowed anywhere near the sofas (well he's only been here two weeks, let's see what we say in a few weeks or months)... but then the main reason behind that decision is that the sofas seem to belong to... the five cats!! docsquid
... but then the main reason behind that decision is that the sofas seem to belong to... the five cats!! When I had an Irish Setter, he used to go on the sofa whether or not he was actually allowed. The sofa belonged to my old cat Tribble who died about 12 years ago. He was a terror and the dog held him in some awe. Tribble had a squint, and only had to squint at Bruno to make him get off the sofa. If Bruno was asleep and therefore unable to see the malevolent stare, Tribble would just get on top of the dog and go to sleep with a look of disgust on his face. Bruno would then dare not move! They also formed a mean team for raiding the rubbish bin in the kitchen Love the photos, reminds me of Bruno.
Space Chick
Henry tends not to go on the sofa, he tends to lie by my feet or in his basket. However, he does love to occasionally jump on to OH's spot on the sofa, and see how long he can get away with it Those are fabulous pictures Snowy, Candy is beautiful and seems to be loving life with you
Seagazer
Great photos - Cookie has been joining us on the sofa for the last couple of months. I think she got fed up of the cats being allowed on there and not her.
chelsea
Loving these pupster pics! You can't have too many in my opinion keep them coming!
jomaxsmith
How does your leather sofa fare with her claws? Dh is trying to persuade me to get a dog and we have a similar brown leather suite. I know it's a minor part of the decision but I'd hate for the suite to be instantly shredded! She's beautiful, by the way, I think I need to see more dogs being loving because at the moment all I can think of is how expensive and how much hard work they are! Snowy
So far the claws haven't been a problem Jo, but i do use a lot of throws (cheap fleece blankets from ebay that can be thrown in the wash!). The biggest problem is muddy feet and tail swishes everywhere. I've got into a routine of walk, hose down, towel off the feet and put her drying coat on so she can't shake muddy water everywhere. The biggest problem I've heard off is dogs liking to chew leather furniture but we've not had that problem ourselves!
Seagazer
I have a few marks on my leather sofa but its not proper scratches it just seems to be wearing out where the cat and dog lay down. Now if we were talking about my leather dining chairs they have all been scratched by Dave Thankfully they are also dark brown so you can't properly notice them. chelsea
How does your leather sofa fare with her claws? Have a large German Shepherd here who lounges on our brown leather suite. The sofa is about 3 years old and she has big claws - no marks or scratches/tears here.
