bigmommasally
Well I hope thats right - as I have had an expensive couple of weeks: My car broke down the week before last - it was the head gasket And this week both the fridge freezer and steam generator iron have decided to die. Looking on the bright side though: My big bro owns a garage, so I get family rates on my car repairs The fridge freezer lives in the garage so I was able to get a bargain replacement that had £100 off as it has a small dent in the door And my new steam generator had been priced wrongly in Currys so I got it £30 cheaper I hope nothing else decides to break this side of christmas though. Cooks
blimey it always works out expensive when things go wrong. My washing machine has 'just' decided tonight to not spin anymore.. luckily it's under extended guarantee until 2012! I am now having to take piles of washing over to my parents tomorrow to wash them. Ah well.
chick wiggle
We have spent a fortune in the past on very flash and very expensive 'white' goods, which still broke down. Now, we just find the cheapest item that will do the job and then if it breaks down, just replace it

I'd have a look at that and maybe wash through some drain cleaner stuff. Clean out any filters you have as well. The first time it happened, I thought my machine was broken and was a tad upset as its a AEG, was fairly new and the most expensive washer we've bought.
