jjmack
I am so pleased with my purple muck boots my OH gave me for xmas, but having a problem with socks riding down in them. On the allotment this week I have resorted to taking the socks off and wearing the boot without, which as they are very warm isn't an issue. But smelly boots might occur if i continue on this route. Where can I get wellie socks from? I need something that comes up over the top of the boot I think. i have tried walking sock but they seem to ride down aswell

Treekeeper
I got some camoflage neoprene wellies for 20 quid off ebay I've had 'em about 3 years now they are lovely and warm the only probleem is one of the heels has a hole and when it gets wet it squishes about so there is no stealthy sneaking up to catch a recalcitrant chook who doesn't want to stop free ranging and go back in the WIR! Ain't Nobody Here
Just noticed a split in one of my wellies this morning . Checked out M&M but they're still quite pricey, even in the sale . Found these on "Easy Wellies" which are a bit less dear but will they last ? Anyone tried them?
goodinparts
Those look wonderful abwsco - but what are they? And is that a zip at the back? (high instep often makes for wellie problems for me) I'm down to one leaky pair, - really not a happy state of affairs!
Ain't Nobody Here
Do you mean me (rather than abswco) ?
goodinparts
Anh...no, though thanks for noticing!...for some reason when I was flipping thro I got stuck on page 1, not noticing that the pretty pic abwsco had posted was back in Nov 09 (at least, it was if the dates are to be believed) - & somehow managed to miss the next page or anything more recent. Hopeless. I have wide calves, wide feet, high instep & leaky wellies...NOT a great combination
Eggasperated
My wellies always split across my foot where I crouch down with the chickens, doesn't seem to matter whether I spend £10 or £40 . Does anyone else have the same problem? I'd willing pay a bit more for some that will last more than 3 months.
sparkysmum
I managed to get a pair of Muck Boots on e-bay this year for £37. They were used which may not suit everyone but worth a try ?

The coloured strip you can see going up the front is the same as the back. I've got a highish instep and not found that a problem but I wouldn't say they're a wide fitting plus the "foot" is fairly solid not like a normal welly.
