Olly
... and Tony (Aviaries4U) deserves an Oscar, or some sort of medal. He'd agreed to deliver and install my run this afternoon, but due to a family problem that wasn't going to be possible. Rather than rearrange the date, he turned up at 6.45 this morning (we'd said 7.00 am but he pulled up outside and saw I was up and about). The run was installed and he was away by just after 8.00 am, he did have an assistant with him but he said that timing was a record even for him! I am absolutely thrilled - had to come to work so haven't got any photos yet, but the run looks fabulous, and I wish I had done this ages ago. If anyone out there is dithering over whether to get a WIR, don't hesitate. I will post photos later, I'm off to collect the Eglu this afternoon (it was delivered to a friend's workplace) and then I can install my chooks in their new home. I can't recommend Tony highly enough, the run is exactly what I wanted, it looks lovely, is perfectly foxproof, and his service from start to finish has been excellent, it's been a pleasure dealing with him. Photos will follow.

Olly
Well sorry to disappoint you ... I'm home but need to run out again to get the Eglu etc before dark! Photos will follow, I promise. I am still smiling all over my face at the total wonderfulness of it all (and it doesn't even have any chickens in yet!). It's almost too good to use for chickens! If anyone had told me a year ago that a chicken run would be sooooooooooo exciting I would have laughed out loud I totally agree with you about how great Tony is to deal with. Look forward to the pics
poachedegg
Even I might have considered a 'Tony' WIR if only Tony constructed oop North!
chelsea
That is what I call service! Someone that goes out of their way to help their customers AND turns up when they say they are going to. I can't believe how quick it took him to put it up - would of taken my OH about a week!
Ain't Nobody Here
Even I might have considered a 'Tony' WIR if only Tony constructed oop North! Don't let that put you off . I'm more oop North than you and I've got a 'Tony' .

I'm more oop North than you and I've got a 'Tony' . I know - but we can only get delivery rather than Tony himself!! ......and I'm still not completely convinced our small garden would take a WIR.......having somebody who knew what they were doing may have tipped the balance. bellekatz
We have a "Tony" now and its the best thing we ever did for the chooks - even though we had to put it together ourselves. We worked out how much space we had and Tony built it accordingly. We had it delivered on my day off and it was easy to put together. We made it harder by not thinking about what we were doing!!! The girls are pretty much dry and enjoying their new larger run space - and the run is so much more robust than what we had before. I'd go for a Tony anyday! Olly
Sorry, bit of a busy day yesterday! The chickens still haven't got anywhere near the run, I'm hoping to do that this afternoon. Here's the run seen looking down my garden, partially camouflaged by the evergreen border: (The enormous pitched roof in the background is my neighbour's 'summerhouse'. Hmm.) Here's a face-on view of the run - it is sited on what was a vegetable patch, I dug round the edges and laid slabs on sand, the greenhouse is on the right with just enough space for me to squeeze up the side and open the egg-port. Note the stable door - thanks, ANH - and the shelf on the left, for mite powder/avipro, other useful things! Here it is looking in the other direction, back down towards the house. I need to sweep up some of the mud around where I laid the slabs, I can see! It's 2m x 3m exactly in size. More pics will follow when I've got the new Eglu installed, and the woodchip - oh yes, and the chickens! Must dash now, as I have chores to do this morning.
