Saronne
Bad Betty came home this morning with an uncooked pork steak she had stolen from our neighbour's kitchen counter! Fortunately it was still wrapped and we were able to return it... Saronne x

Couperwife
I love the way they KNOW they are doing something wrong, but try anyway if you catch them in the act, they stop (you usually dont have to say anything) and you get a look of "well, you werent paying me enough attention, its your fault" cathy x

Fortunately it was still wrapped and we were able to return it... Saronne x That reminds me, years ago I had a cat called Tribble. He was a bit naughty. He was responsible for all the loud cat fights at 3am, and all the nicked ears amongh the local cat populations (his ears, of course, were pristine). One day I looked out of the conservatory at my old house and saw him dragging a roast chicken across the lawn. A whole roast chicken. Obviously somebody's Sunday lunch that had been left to rest and he'd helped himself. What to do? Do I go to all the neighbours and see if any of them have lost a chicken? There were a lot of neighbours as it was a starter estate full of small houses and flats. I had no idea whose it might be. Actually, "Ooops, word censored!"ody came, and I didn't have the nerve to go round to everybody. So Tribble got the chicken. He also stole a pizza from my plate while I was eating it. My current lot of cats are much better behaved.

I made my husband go and knock on our next door neighbour's door to see if the steak belonged to them...fortunately, that neighbour likes cats and has a sense of humour. But you're right, what would you do if no one claimed it? At least Betty's steak was still wrapped and could be cooked. I would have been tempted to slice it finely and make a lovely stir-fry with it!
Alis girls
Had friends round yesterday and had prepared tuna rolls and had left them on the table whilst I prepared some others - turned round to find Honey smacking her lips and 1 roll on its side. Promptly binned it and kept stum as friends OH hates cats she only licked one - I think

BarbaraJ
Mines never gone on the worktop but probably because the tiny bit i have has stuff on it but she has an obsession with socks/gloves etc which she takes to the landing (her spot over water pipes) and hoards them! if you find your missing a glove she will have it she used to love hairbands and those pens with the fluffy tops when the kids were small.oh and eldest dd's thongs
ali-s
Rupert pushes the bathroom door open ( no lock and the latch is broken) when I am in the shower and waits for me to open the shower door and then jumps in with me, he actually lies down in the water until it drains away. He also did a wee in the bathroom sink this morning He loves water so I think he would enjoy being sprayed with a plant spray Is there a breed of Cat that actually likes water? I think he must have been a Portuegese (sp?) Water Dog in a previous life. Olly likes to get up on the kitchen table I might try the plant spray on him. Rupert and Olly are only 4 months old so I am hoping they will grow out of these habits.

Groovychook
I've got a water loving cat too! Pussy Willow likes to leap in the bath whilst the water is draining... when she was a kitten, she used to ocassionally jump in whilst I was still soaking! Lydia
Meg's never minded water either and usually has a paddle most mornings. She also sits on the side of the bath and taps hubby on the bottom with her paw while he's in the shower to remind him she needs feeding Regarding stealing food, we once had people coming round for dinner in the week so to get ahead I made a coq au vin, put it in a freezer bag and left it on the side to cool so I could freeze it. Came back some hours later to find one of the felines (probably Meg) had bitten a hole in the bag and helped themselves! Obviously I threw the lot in the bin and confessed all to my guests
docsquid
Cindy, Ozzy's twin sister who was killed last year, loved water too. She would regularly take herself swimming in the pond, and seemed to be quite good at it. She would then come in dripping and bedraggled and park herself on clean furniture to dry off
mostin
Wow all these water cats , ours only went in once, and that was by mistake. We took the family cat on narrow boat holidays on the canal when I was little. She once jumped to the bank but it wasn't solid earth it was reeds . poor puss came sopping wet back up the gang plank, very sorry for herself .
