docsquid
It is 10 years to the day since I first met my wonderful husband. I was feeling particularly awful today. I had a bad day yesterday, with reactions to my intravenous antibiotics, and having to return to the hospital to get my IV line re-sited. As usual, I got up at 7.20 to put out warm water and porridge for the chickens and to open the Cube door. Then I prepared my morning injection, and DH disappeared out to the garage. This is not an unusual thing, as he has all his tools and stuff out there, and he likes to go and play! Then he returned... ...carrying a beautiful, huge bunch of 12 red roses with some sparkly white flowers, and said "Happy Anniversary, it is 10 years today!". He had kept this completely secret and I had no idea he was planning anything. I burst into tears! He is so wonderful and I am so lucky to have met him. Valkyrie
The only time that my OH brought home red roses for our anniversary was a) His dad kept nagging him (they worked together in those days) and b) They were a knocked down price at Waterloo station - although they lasted for over 2 weeks in perfect condition! By the third they started going a bit bleh though. Now if he buys flowers I wonder what he's done wrong. So I am quite jealous. You have a lovely hubby, congratulations for the 10 years may there be many more.

craftyhunnypie
That is beautiful - well done hubby! So next time everyone thinks their hubby's are tinkering with their tools....they could actually come out of the garage with flowers! That is so lovely - what a good 'un! docsquid
My husband once bought me a Bosch orbital sander as an anniversary present. I got an electric mitre saw one year, although I do actually use it for some of my wood crafts activities e.g. I'm learning to do wood turning! He is super. I am feeling a bit better today, just tired and washed out, but not getting the painful reactions to the antibiotics that I had for the first few days. Thank you all for your good wishes - I'm sure they help. Edited December 19, 2009 by Guest

docsquid
That is wondeful docsquid, hang onto that chap, he's got a heart of gold. I hope that you feel better soon. I do intend to hang on to him! I've been on the IV for nearly a week, and don't feel noticeably better, but there is a glimmer of light today - I am less tired than I was. So maybe we are turning the corner.
