batcatz
I decided I better put my summer parasol in the shed today as I managed to get paint on it, plus it was looking weather worn! I walked up the garden with it under my arm. Its quite a big and heavy one. Hetty start squawking and flapping which alerted Dotty who legged it into next doors garden as I advanced wih the scary white parasol. I dropped it on the ground as they were all squawking and flapping now and I could see a disaster about to happen. I ran into the house to get the mealworms, then ran into my neighbours garden to get Dotty. I couldn't see Bianca anywhere at this point, but thought she was somewhere in my garden. Priority was to get Dotty in case she went further. I couldn't see her anywhere and imagined the worst. I ran into the next neighbour's garden calling and shaking the mealworms and still couldn't see Dotty. All the chickens had gone silent and were hiding. Then, I spotted her! She was hiding behind all the bits and pieces my neighbour had down the side of her house. Phew! But, could I catch her? She wasn't interested in the mealworms and kept running away from me. She wouldn't even crouch. Hetty was calling her so she was going towards the right direction. After about 5 mins I caught her and threw her over the wall into my garden. Don't worry its a very low wall with a bit of lattice fencing. Luckily, Bianca had reappeared. I put them all away quickly and breathed a huge sigh of relief!!!! I won't be doing that again! She missed an opportunity though as my neighbours grass is lovely, lush and green at the moment!
