Redwing Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 My 10 and 12 week old Silkies are living in hutches in a stable at the moment, I wont put either set out till the spring now, because they are so fluffy I think they find it harder to trap air in layers of feathers like normal chickens do Bearded Silkies are less common than non bearded ones and blue is one of the less seen colours overall but I dont think that they are particularly rare as the Silkie is such a popular breed Good luck with your chicks!
