Put me down for some hatching eggs please . How wonderful. Good old ShaunW . Cant wait to see them. You are soo lucky. HENthusiastic
Ive woken up still eggcited about your new chooks Have you worked out how/where you are going to keep them. With that lovely big garden, you could get ShaunW to build you a whole other run, just like your first and then you'd have room for even more girls to live with your new red family
Sheilaz
Have loved this topic from the start and have just seen the photos. Brilliant! Your joy is infectious Mostin, as is the idea of an increasing flock. The WIR is fantastic. I like Hen's idea (& enthusiasm!) too!

With that lovely big garden, you could get ShaunW to build you a whole other run, just like your first and then you'd have room for even more girls to live with your new red family Again dictated by Mostin, typed by Shaunw; "Great minds think alike Hen, already planning to move the RED family in to the old veggie plot at the top of the garden. ith my usual Mostin luck for introductions Willow the Prima Dona Orpington today decided that she belongs with the Red family and not with the commoners, so i think she will be moving up the garden with them. Bill has never liked Carla the Columbine, so she is going up there too. hopefully." The old veggie plot. With a tarpaflex roof and sides it will make do for now i am sure. mostin
today, she has managed to phone her little sister from her bed to talk. Little sister was thrilled . New cockerel has started to crow...........and crow.............and crow..............and crow.... Houston............we may have a problem . Bill is practically mute in comparrison , the sooner we get Rod further up the garden and into a pen of his own the better .
Plum
Poor Bill It took him long enough to pluck up the courage to be a cockeral Good news about your niece
chick wiggle
So pleased to hear about your neice Mostin, thats the best news! Poor Bill, is he feeling a bit out-crowed! Rod is probably just trying to make his presence felt Im so jealous of your cockerals
mostin
Well Rod may be the gobbiest but he's the soppiest. I'm handling them every day, as per poultry club advice so that the judges don't get a face full of sawdust from a squawking chook . Rod really enjoys his cuddles, where as Bill just tolerates them . To be honest though, Bill is like a paranoid new mum, and he just can't stand it that he's not able to watch over all his ladies while I'm holding him, awwwwwww, bless him. He does worry about them all. Dolly is having the worlds worst moult at the moment, she is bald , and she has dropped in the pecking order so can't get treats. I shut her in the treat shed on her own with a pile of dried meal worms, so she could get some fat and protein in this cold weather. She was soooooooo happy, but Bill knew she was missing from the flock and stood outside the shed door and crowed non-stop until she was released . What a gent .
