I feel I may have messed up right at the start. Will wait till candling and see. If nothings happening I'll put it down to experience and start again. TAJ
I didn't candle - just left the incy to it and got 11 out of 12 hatched and very healthy so do not panic too much about it. Tracy
chick wiggle
Thanks taj, and everyone for the good vibes, everything helps At the moment Im panicking because Im trying to find a heat lamp in case they DO hatch and want to be prepared. I managed to find a 100w ceramic dull emitter, after ringing round and then going to see half a dozen pet/reptile shops but I cant find a suitable reflector shade (they're all black for reptiles ). Wells poultry do one suitable but with postage costs nearly £30 Im getting to the point now that Im thinking 'oh just get it' . Can i get a cheaper one from anywhere do you know? The ones on ebay dont say wether they are suitable for ceramic bulbs Can i use the cheaper ones with a ceramic bulb? Sorry Im rambling again
Redwing
They should be suitable as long as the bulb is under the max wattage This is one of the ones I have: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HEAT-LAMP-POULTRY-INCUBATOR_W0QQitemZ280453770564QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Poultry?hash=item414c58ed44 Countrywide stores should sell them, Regency poultry are also good

chick wiggle
Not so excited now just had to discard 3 eggs as even to me it was pretty obvious there was nothing in there. The other 3 were dark with an air sac and i could see a few veins but no movement, so not sure about them either Aw Poo!

Griffin
Veins is a good sign and towards the end all you should see is darkness and the air sac. You'll not see movement because they're too squashed.
