Shirl
Anyone got one or have any experience of one? We have a Roomba who despite being temperamental is part of the family so I'm thinking of getting a robotic lawnmower. They can apparently do up to 1 1/2 acres and our lawn is pretty flat. They are pretty expensive though so couldn't afford to buy one and have it break down as soon as it was out of warranty.

Shirl
My OH isn't good at mowing the grass and I think a robotic mower is cheaper than a ride on so I think I might have to order one.

Valkyrie
I would need one that floats at the moment for the back garden - a hovercraft mower. But then any sprout shooting up over the surface is quickly nipped off. After yesterdays altercation with number one son - he will be mowing the front lawn this weekend - if it's dry! Shirl
Went for the RM400. I'm hoping it will be able to cope. It will only be able to do the main lawn area at the back because we have a lot of trees (the children call it the woods but that's an exaggeration) and there is a lot of tree debris in the surrounding area. Shirl
Our mower arrived. The OH laid the cable yesterday and we set it off today. It is rubbish! The grass was short with a few tufts of longer grass. It has failed to cut the grass noticeably. It has obviously cut some grass because there is grass on the blades but we still have some bits that are long. I don't want it but I don't know if it is bad enough to claim under the Sale Of Goods Act.
