She is no better but no worse. Apparently she is aware of her surroundings and recognises people but is struggling to communicate very well she just answers yes to everything She was pleased to see my dad which is a first

 

They have run some tests and her cholesterol is a little high but not excessively so and should be easily treatable.

 

I have spoken to my dad I think he is struggling to accept that at least for a while my mum is going to be an invalid and he has to deal with it but I spoke to my aunt

 

The real biggie is going to be pursuading her to stop smoking She has quit before and then started again but with that and the cholesterol it feels like a disaster waiting to happen she is only 59 by the way

Oh, so young to have that happen At least you'll be able to help her kick the habit when she gets back to you Louise. Perhaps it needs a jolt like this to help her do it.

Glad to hear that things are slightly easier Louise. I should have PM'd Andrew when I first mentioned it.

 

I know how helpful Joe has been in the past.
