LolaLayla
It's pretty gusty here too but it sounds much worse with you ali-s, hope you don't get snow. Last night it was so bad the rain sounded as if someone was blasting a hose at the window
Ain't Nobody Here
Really wild here last night too . Everything still intact thankfully and all my perspex panels in the WIR are still in place .
Egluntyne
Wind howling all night here. The only casualty was the tarpaulin which I have over the roof of my WIR. A couple of the fastenings had come away, but it was soon remedied.
Valkyrie
Very windy - and when it drops it's like an eerie silence! Did have lashing rain early but sunny for some time. Clouds blow over very quickly.

The Dogmother
Getting that way here too - yesterday was very cold and frosty -1.4deg at 6am. It is much milder today (currently 12.5deg) very dark and was pouring when I walked the dogs this morning.
craftyhunnypie
Oh my god - the weather here today is like something only an experienced skipper should ever encounter. Storm is just putting it mildly! I had to brace myself in my Hi Vis jacket, hood up & do the chickens, papers, nests, food & water. I don't know how I have stayed upright! The water out of the watering can spout was blowing everywhere! The papers & shredding everywhere. Had to chase them over the fields. I'm hoping it will settle a bit later, as I've got to go the shop / post office to post & I've also got to put our rubbish bags & recycling out for collection tomorrow ( very early morning). I usually walk, but I don't fancy it today, plus just getting down our track will be a battle in this wind. I might blow into the stream! Think hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows is well deserved today, plus a little choccie bar maybe? Need something warming for my lunch too. Think it will be Vitamix soup. Days like this I like to light the fire early, sit with my crochet / knitting & wait for the baking to come out of the oven! Emma.x

Dry, cloudy start today - let's hope it stays that way, I am out in the garden in a bit, then off to walk the dogs and do a homecheck for one of the lurcher charities which I do them for. ali-s
A snowy day here. I had a slow drive home from town after dropping off DD at the train station and doing a bit of Christmas shopping. A 4wd behind me did a fantastic 360 degree skid on a hill with a 180 degree skid to follow as the driver tried to get his car moving again. Bitterly cold now with more snow forecast for tomorrow.
