G8rSteph
Hi from chilly Florida! LOL. Great idea to merge the forums! I don't appear to have authorization to have a signature or even ask for help in that area of the forum. Can anyone help me with that? Thanks! G8rSteph
Thanks, Christian! Well, until I can post a signature, I have 6 hens all in my blue eglu. Yes, six! There are 2 Australorps, 2 RIRs, and 2 hybrids - 1 golden comet and 1 black star. My formerly green yard is now completely dirt - the girls run free during the day. We fenced off their side of the yard so they wouldn't eat our vegetable garden. LOL. Our neighbors seem to really like our hens since several of them grew up on farms. I was worried when we got them that the neighbors would be upset. The girls are enjoying this cool weather, even though I'm not. It gets awfully hot here in the summer! Charlottechicken
Hello US omleteers! I'm in Birmingham, and extremely close to a very large chocolate factory here Looking forward to reading more posts from the US, especially as you have some extreme weather (we love talking about the weather ) and rather more dangerous predators than we do! G8rSteph
Oh, yay! Okay, here are photos: Before, the yard wasn't the best, but there was some grass: Now: Part of what happened, we believe, is that it didn't rain for 3 months here this past fall. We're going to throw down some rye grass seed soon, so there is at least something to hold the soil better. We recently put as many leaves as we could round up in there. Egluntyne
Looks very like my garden. It is like the Somme in wet weather, and Death Valley in dry.

Omleteers who are selling their Eglus can do so **HERE** . (Although the vast majority of them are in the UK. ) Alternatively, you could post **HERE** to see if anyone is selling one in your area. -LCL
