Bramble
I'm a bit puzzled One of my ex-batts was very quiet and off-colour when I got home from work last night, she was hunched up in the eglu and not even interested in mealworms. I gave her some nutridrops and left her, fearing the worst ... Got up this morning and she was absolutely fine again, back to her usual self ... someone had laid a thin shelled egg so Im sort of assuming that might have been the problem. Thing is, 24 hours on and the same hen seems to be going downhill again ... is it simply that she's working on another softy or is something else going on? Thanks everyone
percy049
It might be a softie or..... 1) have you wormed them? 2) have you checked them for lice? 3) check for any mites in the house. I'm sorry to say this, but ex-batts don't live as long as other hybrids, and when someone else has had them for 1 1/4 years, they're not with us for long
