bok bok
One of my bantoms was broody, I got some fertile eggs on Thursday. Left them settle for a while put them in the nest box and the lovely cuddly little bird decided she didn't want to be broody any more. Bank holidays in abundance are stopping me getting a incubator until at least tuesday will there be any chance of the eggs hatching if they are not put in the machine until then? thanks (first timer did you guess! )
atsw
Depending on when they were laid, they should be fine for at least another 5-7 days. On the hatch I've just completed, the earliest egg was laid 22nd March. My broody Pekin started sitting on them 2nd April. It hatched without a hitch 21 days later and the chick is fine. Redwing
They can last up to three weeks but fertility declines after 10 days
