My columbine has grown spurs!

Huge :shock: Massive :shock: Manly Spurs :shock::shock::shock::shock:

 

She hasn't laid since last year and must be about 2 1/2.....

 

Should I be worried? Please tell me she wont crow :(:(:(:(

 

Any advice?

So has my Cream Legbar,the very old,very beautiful Clover.

She also has a great set of wattles & was trying to crow last weekend :roll::lol:

My Splash Orpington (prob. about 4 years old now) is def. a girl and has had the most humungous, stonking pair of spurs since very young, and they keep growing longer so I have to clip them every few months - so I don't think it necessarily means that yours is turning into a boy (well I hope ) :D

I had a CLB who crowed, laid eggs and had no spurs. Also have two little brown hens getting to the end of their laying days, each of whom has one spur, normal wattles and comb, and so far, no tendency to crow.

 

I am told spurs don't necessarily mean they are going to crow, and the CLB stopped crowing when rehomed. I think it is pretty hard to predict, really...
