The Weather Thread # 7

Recommended Posts

Well, the heat and humidity didn't let up yesterday despite there being a good few clouds, including one enormous anvil cloud over in the east - guess that was heading off to the soaking party down on the Essex/Kent borders. Yesterday at 6pm the thermometer against my back wall (so in the sun) was registering 31deg.

This morning is cooler and rapidly clouding up but very still, I am assured by my 'weather expert' friend that we're due for storms and a soaking; TBH the garden needs it and my water butts are almost empty!

Cloudy start again for us today but are due some warm sun later.

It's been much cooler for the past few days and we had quite a bit of rain on Saturday night- although not the forecasted thunderstorms! :notalk: We desperately needed it- the garden was parched and all of our buts were dry. There was a very strong breeze over the weekend too. I was trying to stake plants but couldn't force any canes in the ground. We could do with another downpour really... at night if possible!
