williamspencer98
Hi, when I candled my eggs (day 6) the egg seems darker, an orange colour with off-white spider veins going all over one side, but plain the other side? Is this good or bad? Edited October 23, 2012 by Guest
williamspencer98
Those are the two pictures, theres not much others to see on the other eggs yet. Today is day 6, these photos were on day 3 I think. What do you think?
chestnutmare
I'd leave it until day 10. Candle again. I've had my doubts about eggs before, and I've had chicks from them!
chuckmum6
You still need to wait longer (hard I know), you risk damaging the eggs if you keep candling them. Leave them until day 10, you will be in no doubt then.
sjp
the top egg is a worry from the photo it might be broken best thing to do is candle an egg from the fridge or a new laid egg any that look the same on day 10 i.e no dark areas are duds any that have dark areas should be good. I've been hatching eggs about 3 years and still haven't seen anything other than a dark mass in a developing egg
craftyhunnypie
The first looks infertile, the second looks to have a blood ring. Both no goers I think. I would have removed both of those if I'd seen that at day 7. Emma.x
