AndreaT
Hi all, I've just noticed one of my week old chicks has a really big crop. I've not noticed it in any of the others before and it wasn't like it this morning, is it something I should worry about or wait to see if it goes down? Thanks! sjp
just check it before they get to feed in the morning if it's still big it might be a problem but it's more likely a low ranking chick that's fills up when it can so as to avoid been bullied
AndreaT
Thanks sjp. I noticed before they went to bed that two of them were like it but when I let them out this morning they were all fine. I guess they are just greedy babies!

I guess they are just greedy babies! that's normal the crop should be full at bedtime for chicks and adults, it's just more noticeable with some birds more than others. as I keep naked necks I see it more so only tend to notice if a bird isn't showing a full crop
