Henergy
My 2 year old has started regularly laying soft eggs & indeed some with no shell at all. She is on the same good diet as all the others with lots of access to chicken grit & the odd egg shell too. is this a sign of her struggling to meet her usual & always normally reliable 1 egg a day ? TBH I've not given much thought to how long they'll lay for previously.
Eggasperated
Assuming she is a hybrid this could well be the case. Providing she is on a good diet with not too many treats and with grit, also that she is up to date with worming and no signs of any illness it could just be her time to stop. Most of my hybrids have slowed down or stopped laying after two years - the exceptions being a pied Sussex which has never really got going and seems to have stopped after one year , and a Black Rock cross who still lays reliable at 4 years old.
